Havana Nightlife Tips 2019 Jan 15 – 22
This week Havana is jamming to the sounds of the 34th Festival de Jazz Plaza. This is the biggest and the best Jazz Festival produced in Cuba, but it’s also notoriously difficult to find out who’s playing where and when. Havana VIP to the rescue! We’ve done our best to compile all the information we could get. If you are in Havana please share this info with others. There are a ton of options, and if you have the festival credential you should try to see as much as you can.
This Sunday Jan 21 the Festival closes with simultaneous performances in different locations by the great Omara Portuondo in the Sala Avellaneda of the Teatro Nacional, and Dayme Arocena in the Teatro Mella. This is as cruel a decision as Sofie’s Choice, and unless you can be in two concerts at once you’ll have to pick just one.
